VIMIC Taps REVOCATION’s ASH PEARSON To Also Drum At Their Reunion Show

On October 3, metal outfit Vimic will return to the stage for a powerful and emotional tribute to their late drummer and founding member, Joey Jordison. The one-night-only event, set to take place at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA, will serve as both a celebration of Jordison‘s enduring legacy and the long-awaited album release show for Open Your Omen.

The performance will serve as a celebration of Jordison‘s life and legacy, with proceeds going to the Joey Jordison Charitable Fund. The event also marks a major milestone for the band, as they prepare to officially release their long-shelved album Open Your Omen through a fan-backed crowdfunding campaign.

In a fitting homage to one of metal’s most influential drummers, Vimic has announced that the kit will be shared by not one but two powerhouse performers: Ash Pearson (3 Inches Of Blood, Revocation, Zimmers Hole) and Luana Dametto (Crypta). Pearson will serve as the main drummer for the evening, bringing his blistering speed and technical precision to the set.

“We’re bringing the heat for our album release show — and it doesn’t get heavier than this,” Vimic shared in a statement. “Joining us behind the kit as the main drummer is none other than Ash Pearson — the beast behind the drums for 3 Inches Of Blood, Revocation, and Zimmers Hole. Ash brings the kind of intensity that levels stages — and we’re stoked to have him bring it to Vimic for this special night. Don’t miss it. This one’s going to be brutal.”

For Pearson, the opportunity to perform in memory of Jordison carries deep personal meaning: “Joey Jordison first came to my attention in 1999. I had been drumming for about a year and was at that impressionable age where I was collecting my heavy metal drumming heroes and crafting my musical identity,” Pearson shared. “Joey quickly became one of my earliest drumming influences… I learned so much from listening to his drumming. In that way, he was my earliest and most significant teacher.”

Pearson also recalled their shared history on the road: “Joey got us on a bunch of Slipknot shows as openers after that and we also toured together on Mayhem Fest while he was drumming for Rob Zombie. I was fortunate to have lots of time to be around him and yet it still didn’t seem like enough. I feel grateful to be part of this concert in celebrating one of the most influential metal drummers to ever live. Thank you Vimic, thank you Joey and the Jordison family.”

The performance marks Vimic‘s first major appearance in years, coinciding with the crowdfunded release of their long-shelved debut album, Open Your Omen – originally recorded in 2018 and shelved due to industry and personal delays following Joey‘s passing in 2021. The upcoming show offers fans a long-awaited glimpse at the music Joey helped shape and a chance to honor his lasting impact on metal drumming.

For longtime fans of Jordison, Slipknot, and extreme metal at large, the Teragram Ballroom show is poised to be an unforgettable celebration of one of heavy music’s most innovative and beloved icons.
