Jared Leto’s Joker Returns in New DCEU Photo Shared by Zack Snyder

Zack Snyder has shared a new image of Jared Leto‘s Joker from his performance in Snyder’s DC Extended Universe.

What’s the new photo of Jared Leto’s Joker show?

The new photo comes from Snyder’s Instagram. In it, Leto can be seen from looks to be his appearance in Snyder’s cut of Justice League. Leto has long hair and is wearing a Gotham City Police S.W.A.T. vest, while also holding a gun.

Leto briefly appeared in Justice League during a scene where the group catches a glimpse of the Knightmare future. He and Ben Affleck’s Batman interact for the first and only time in the DCEU, where Leto hints at killing Robin before the pair converse.

The new photo comes as part of several other pictures from his past works that Snyder has been sharing. Ever since making an Instagram account a month ago, Snyder has shared several photographs of both his past and upcoming projects. This includes never-before-seen looks of Henry Cavill as Superman, which he has shared several times.

Outside of the world of the DCEU, Snyder continues to work on movies. His next film, The Last Photograph, recently got its first look, showcasing what looks to be a chaotic film. The drama is described as his “long-awaited passion project.” Snyder will direct the project from a screenplay written by Kurt Johnstad, who has worked with Snyder previously on 300 and both Rebel Moon films. Snyder will have a “story by” credit, as well.

“Enlisting the help of a washed-up junkie war photographer, the only person to have seen the face of the killers, he sets out, determined to find the children and the truth, but soon learns he must also face the ghosts of his past,” reads the logline. “Their journey into the unknown takes them farther and farther away from civilization, bringing into question everything they believe, while slowly eroding the distinction between real and surreal.”
