Evil Rats in Pied Piper Texas Indie Horror Film ‘The Confession’ Trailer

“As a parent, you have one job…” Quiver Distribution has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror flick called The Confession, another film about going back to your hometown and discovering the evil secrets within. This one will be out to watch on VOD starting in January if anyone wants to watch. From writer / director Will Canon, The Confession is a horror-thriller and a twist on the story of the Pied Piper set in rural Texas. When a struggling musician moves back into her childhood home, she discovers a recording of her deceased father confessing to a grisly murder he claims to have committed to protect himself from a strange, unknown evil force. As her young son exhibits increasingly unsettling behavior, she becomes more and more desperate in her attempts to stop the evil. Starring Italia Ricci as Naomi, with Zachary Golinger, Scott Mechlowicz, Terence Rosemore, Allie McCulloch, and Justin Matthew Smith. This doesn’t look so creepy until all the rats show up! Naomi, a recently widowed musician, moves with her young son back to her childhood home years after the death of her father. In the attic of the house, she discovers a cassette tape on which her father describes a grisly murder he claims to have committed to protect himself from an unknown evil force. Unsure what to make of this revelation, Naomi enlists the help of an old friend to get to the bottom of the mystery, and together, they discover sinister details about the history of their town. When her son exhibits increasingly unsettling behavior, Naomi becomes desperate in her attempts to stop the evil. The Confession is written and directed by the indie genre filmmaker Will Canon, of the films Brotherhood and Demonic previously. Produced by Rosanna Eden-Ellis. This initially premiered at FrightFest London 2025 this fall. Quiver debuts Canon’s The Confession horror film direct-to-VOD starting January 16th, 2026 coming up. Looks scary?
